JOOL – Jou Onbaatsigtige Opoffering vir Liefdadigh eid
Die NWU Potchefstroomkampus se JOOL is sedert 1942 die afskoppunt van die sosiale kalender onder studente. Jong mense van reg oor die land migreer elke Januarie na die studente dorp om deel te neem aan e en van die grootste studente gedrewe feeste. Die gevoel van samesyn gedure nde die tyd is soos geen ander. Sinoniem met optredes deur die beste plaas like kunstenaars en die alombekende vlotoptog is hierdie die een geleenthe id van die jaar wat jy nie wil misloop nie. Boonop die avontuur wat JOOL b eloof\, is dit nie net vir ‘n lekker tyd nie maar ook vir ‘n goeie doe l. Alle winste wat gemaak word deur JOOL word gebruik om 87 gemeenskap pro jekte te befonds wat gebruik word om die Potchefstroom gemeenskap te bemag tig.
RAG – Reach Out and Give
T he NWU Potcheftroom campus’ RAG has been the kick-off of the social cale ndar for every student since 1942. Annually young people from all over the country migrates to this student town to participate in this student driv en festival. The feeling of coherence during this time is unparalleled. Th is event is synonymous with shows by some of the best local artists and th e famous float parade – you do not want to miss it. The purpose of the R AG experience is not solely to provide students with a good time but it is also for a good cause. All proceeds are donated to community which is use d to fund 87 community projects.
