This inter active workshop will cover the traditional Maori practice of haka (traditi onal power dance) helping us engage with our healthy warrior energy\, whic h helps us find our internal\, healthy expression of power and inner disci pline. Building trust and respect between men and women. This allows us to stand strong in our full power and really take up some space on this plan et at this time.
We’ll not only learn how and why we ha ka\, but we’ll also learn and do a simple yet very strong haka and fully embody our internal warrior\, our “I will not be pushed around ever aga in” badass!
We’ll also learn how to use haka as a rea l tool to help us deal will our emotions\, releasing and building energies and supporting our mental health…..and its really sexy!
Participants will leave with ancient yet practical tools to support them in the way they stand\, speak\, liste n\, connect and move powerfully through this life.
BIO
Matiu has over 20 years experience as a Maori language and performance teacher\, he is an engaging\, intuitive facilitator\, dynamic international musician\, playwright\, storyteller and a leader amongst his own communities.
Matiu is travelling the world with his healing wor k\, the impact from this is currently sending waves around the planet and this workshop offers tools we can offer towards a solution to making a rea l difference in addressing fragmentation within our relationships as well as things like gender-based violence. This is healing the masculine and fe minine relationship using traditional and modern wisdom.
