Unity Jam will be turn ing the beach resort of Muizenberg into a festival town for one whole week end from the 14th to the 15th of December. An excellent children’s thea tre company\, leading yoga teachers\, nutritionists\, scientists and over 100 local musicians spread across 9 stages are contributing to a festival that offers something for everyone.
Like any Music festival we have different stages and flavours. Tradi tional bands\, Township Funk\, Deep House Parties\, Rock\, Jazz\, Classica l\, Rockabilly and Reggae. We also know that keeping the children entertai ned in the run up to Christmas can be challenging\, so we have put a great programme together to help you start the holidays off with a weekend that the the kids will remember and you will enjoy.
Unity Jam\, founded on principles of community and cooperation\, is a fes tival blueprint that creates inclusive & sustainable urban festivals made for & by the community. Unity Jam was first run in 2014 in the township of Langa and now is coming to Muizenberg. Over the next 3 years the blueprin t of Unity Jam will be introduced into urban festival communities across t he globe. At Unity Jam festivals every one involved has some skin in the g ame and is rewarded fairly from ticket revenues.
