16β18 October 2026 | Kromdraai Impact Hub\, Cradle of Humankind\, South Africa
One Humanity. One Earth. One Future.
From the place where some of humanityβs earliest ancestors on ce walked\, we gather to remember what connects us.
More than a festival\, Ou r Origin is an invitation to reconnect β with ourselves\, with one anoth er and with the living Earth.
The South African gathering is an anchor for ORIGIN\, a global movement bringing tog ether Indigenous Elders and knowledge holders\, artists\, scientists\, hea lers\, young people\, families\, regenerative practitioners\, entrepreneur s and communities around a shared question: What kind of future be comes possible when we remember that we belong to one another and to the E arth?
Across three days\, expect extraordinary l ive music\, ceremony\, meaningful conversations\, nature-based experiences \, spaces for healing\, children's programming\, ecological action and opp ortunities to meet people working towards a more regenerative world.
F or our Weekend Pass holders and camping and glamping guests\, Friday is an opportunity to arrive on the land\, settle in and begin the journey toget her.
As the sun sets over the Cradle\, the festival opens with our < strong>Conscious Party Night β bringing together music\, moveme nt\, fireside connection and community beneath the African sky.
It i s a chance to meet fellow festival-goers\, reconnect with old friends\, ma ke new ones and ground yourself before Saturday's main gathering.
Saturday i s the heart of Our Origin Festival β a full day of musi c\, culture\, ceremony\, creativity\, conversation and collective action.< /p>
The live music programme brings together some of South Africa's most distinctive voices\, including:
πΆ TRESOR
πΆ Bongeziwe Mabandla
πΆ Buhlebendalo
πΆ Tubatsi Mpho Moloi
πΆ Sibusile Xaba
β¦and more.
Music is woven throughout the day alongside drumming circles\, performance art\, storytellin g\, ceremony\, food\, nature\, workshops\, conversations and spaces to sim ply connect.
Our Origin also creates a meeting place betwee n generations and ways of knowing.
Indigenous Elders and knowledge h
olders form an important part of the gathering\, sharing prayer\, story\,
ceremony and ancestral knowledge. Participating voices include Rre
Pharologanyo Easter Tlatsana\, Batswana Elder and custodian\, Ouma Katrina Esau\, a revered South African language activi
st and cultural custodian whose lifelong work has helped preserve and revi
talise N|uu\, one of Southern Africaβs oldest Indigenous languages\, and
Paul Jrumpinjinbah McLeod\, Yuin Aboriginal Elder and he
aler\, alongside other Elders\, wisdom keepers and members of the wider OR
IGIN community.
Their presence reminds us that regeneration is not o nly about restoring landscapes. It is also about restoring relatio nship\, memory\, culture and responsibility.
Throughout the festival\, the Heal ing Village offers a space to slow down\, breathe\, restore and r econnect.
Step away from the energy of the main festival and enter a more intimate environment dedicated to wellbeing\, reflection and integra tion.
The village brings together healing and wellness practitioners offering a range of restorative experiences and practices supporting the body\, mind\, heart and spirit.
Whether you come fo r a moment of stillness\, a restorative practice\, a meaningful conversati on or simply somewhere to pause between performances\, the Healing Village invites you to experience another rhythm within the festival.
Some individual healing and wellness experiences may require separate booking o r payment\, with details available at the festival.

Our Origin is intentionally designed as an intergenerational gathering\, because the future we ar e imagining belongs to our children too.
The Kids' Village is a dedicated creative and nature-based space where children can explore\, make\, play and learn.
Through experiences such as nature-based arts and crafts\, storytelling\, Indigenous games\, music an d movement\, sensory play\, environmental learning and hands-on creative a ctivities\, children are invited into their own experience of the festival.
Our vision is simple:
The Kids' Village is a place where children can create\, play\, wonder and remember that they b elong to the Earth. Through art\, nature\, story and community\, we invite the next generation to experience regeneration not as a lesson\, but as a way of being.
Parents and caregivers can experience Our Or igin knowing that children aren't simply an add-on to the gathering β th ey are part of it.
Our Origin invites us not only to talk about regeneration\, but to participate in it .
Through Seed the Dream\, festival-goers will have an opportunity to plant into the landscape as a living gesture of care\, hope and responsibility for future generations.
It is a simple act c arrying a much larger intention: what we plant today can become sh ade\, nourishment\, habitat and possibility for those who come after us.
Between the music and celebration\, Our Origin creates space for conversations ex ploring some of the defining questions of our time.
Expect intergene rational dialogues and contributions from Indigenous knowledge hol ders\, regenerative practitioners\, scientists\, community leaders\, creat ives\, young people and systems changemakers exploring our relati onships with land\, culture\, health\, community and the future.
Rat her than separating ecological\, social and human wellbeing\, Our Origin a sks us to see them as interconnected.
Regeneration begins wi th relationship.
On Saturday evening\, the gathering at the Cradle of Humankind wi ll connect with communities participating in ORIGIN around the wor ld.
At 9:00 PM South Africa time\, we will enter the Global Moment of Unity β a synchronized mome nt connecting people across cultures\, countries and continents through sh ared intention\, prayer and music.
The moment will include a Prayer for Mother Earth led by Indigenous Elders\, followed by m usic carrying the gathering into a shared expression of unity.
For a moment\, people separated by geography will be invited to pause together and remember something simple but profound:
We share one hom e.
Sunday morning invites us to move from inspiration into integration.
Join us for a special Morning of Applied Science with Zach Bush MD\, exploring the relationship s between human health\, soil\, food systems\, ecology and planeta ry wellbeing.
After a weekend grounded in ancestral wisdom\ , culture\, ceremony and relationship\, Sunday creates a space to engage w ith science and ask how these understandings can be applied to the way we live\, grow food\, build communities and care for the Earth.
It refl ects one of the deeper intentions of ORIGIN: creating spaces where ancestral wisdom and contemporary knowledge can meet rather than compete< /strong>.
The weekend then moves towards closing and integration β giving us an opportunity to reflect on what we have experienced\, the rel ationships we have formed and what we choose to carry forward beyond the f estival.
Our Or igin can be experienced as a Saturday day festival or as an immersive three-day weekend.
