Two collectives born of th e same vision\, under the same notion that music has the power to transcen d space and time come together to present an event based on the fundamenta l principle of that which is parallel. Individually\, these collectives sh are the same journey\; they have always been parallel to one another\, exi sting at the same time and pace\, sharing the same spaces and seeking the same cathartic experience that music releases. The idea that we can exist along parallel lines and share similar experiences\, yet be fundamentally different is at the centre of this event.
Our event enc ourages our artists to push the boundaries of what they know\, to push the mselves beyond their comfort zone and scope of their individual musical co llection. In doing so\, we have curated our line up in such a way that it reflects the very nature of that which is parallel: to exist in a similar way and yet to still exist as the individual. Think of it not as a night o f back-to-back sets\, rather as two individuals sharing parallel journeys who are now encouraged to explore new avenues of sound and to harmonise wi th their respective parallel. This is what lies at the very core of our ev ent\, bringing collectives together and collaborating to create an unparal leled experience.
