It's been over 2 ½ yrs since Joburg's indie rock superstars\, SHORTSTRAW\, last performed live in Cape Town. They're back with a brand new album and will be performing in the beautiful natural gra ss Amphitheatre at Beau Constantia Wine Estate supported by some of Cape T own's finest musicians and DJ's on Saturday 2nd April 2022. < /p>
The band have rightfully earned themselves a place as one of the big gest musical acts in South Africa\, with some of the most loyal fans a ban d could ask for. So come and spend a fun day out with good music\, friends and chilled vibes.

Shortstraw won BEST INDIE at the 2013 MK Awards for the music v ideo for One Long Day\, and at the 2014 MK Awards picked up BEST ALBUM for Good Morning\, Sunshine and BEST VIDEO for Waterworks. Shortstraw was nom inated for BEST ALTERNATIVE at the 2014 MTV Africa Music Awards. The band' s album Youthless debuted at #1 on the South African iTunes Chart.
S hortstraw has also had the incredible opportunity to have toured with a nu mber of great international bands both in South Africa and abroad\, includ ing PIXIES (US)\, The Kooks (UK)\, The Jungle Giants (AUS)\, Bombay Bicycl e Club (UK)\, Last Dinosaurs (AUS)\, and the Dune Rats (AUS).
