  in distress from all over Cape Town's South Peninsula and gives them a se

 n 1999 (registered in terms of Section 18a of the Income Tax Act) whose co
 re aim is to rescue\, rehabilitate\, treat and rehome lost\, abandoned\, a
 bused and neglected animals\, and to educate the communities within which

  inherit\;">in particular the children. </span></p><p class="ql-align-jus
 tify"><span style="color: inherit\;"> Our focus is on sterilisation to pr
 event unwanted animals from being born into a life of suffering\, abuse a
 nd neglect and annually we sterilise in excess of 7 000 dogs and cats. I
 n addition we are one of the leading organisations in the compassionate st
 erilisation and management of the peninsula’s feral cat colonies through
  our Feral Cat Project. To date TEARS has homed in nearly 18\,000 animals
