 ORDS™ title home!</strong></h3><p><br></p><p>This Heritage Day\, we’re
  bringing braai back to South Africa and this time\, we’re coming back b
 igger\, stronger\, and more determined than ever.</p><p><br></p><p>In 2025
 \, we made history. A total of 2\,412 people were officially counted in th
 e braai area by our stewards\, beating the current standing record of 2\,2
 20 set in Japan. By every measure\, it was a landmark moment for our count
 ry.</p><p><br></p><p>However\, Guinness World Records did not certify the 
 attempt due to a technical rule: every participant had to remain at their 
 braai station for the full braai period without moving. In true South Afri
 can style\, many people stepped away to greet friends\, take photos\, and 
 enjoy the atmosphere because that’s what a braai is all about.</p><p><br
 ></p><p>But this year\, we are not leaving anything to chance.</p><p>On 24
  September 2026\, we are going again! With 3\,000 proud South Africans aro
 und the fire as we attempt to claim the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title fo
 r the most people grilling/barbecuing simultaneously! Although we call it 
 BRAAI.</p><p><br></p><p>This year\, all systems have been improved. We hav
 e tightened the rules\, improved the stewarding\, strengthened the wristba
 nd and access control process\, and made the braai station system clearer 
 and more controlled. Every participant will know exactly where to be\, wha
 t to do\, and how to make sure South Africa gets the official record.</p><
 p><br></p><p>Last year\, we proved that we have the people\, the passion\,
  and the spirit. This year\, nothing will stop us.</p><p><br></p><h2>How t
 he Braai Works</h2><p><strong>09:00 – 12:00</strong></p><p><br></p><p>Al
 l you need to bring is yourself. We have the rest covered!</p><p>Each braa
 i ticket includes:</p><ul><li>A portion of wors to braai</li><li>A fresh r
 oll/pap</li><li>A branded apron to keep</li><li>A pair of tongs to keep</l
 i><li>Access to a braai station\, prelit and ready for cooking</li></ul><p
 ><br></p><p>At 10:00am sharp\, all 3\,000 participants will braai together
  in what will be the biggest public braai the world has ever seen.</p><p><
 br></p><p>Please note: For Guinness World Records purposes\, all braai par
 ticipants must remain at their allocated braai station for the full offici
 al braai period. This is extremely important. Participants may not leave t
 heir station\, walk around\, visit friends\, take photos away from their s
 tation\, or move to another braai during the official attempt.</p><p>We ar
 e doing this together\, and every single person plays a part in bringing t
 he record home.</p><p><br></p><h2>The Festival Experience</h2><p><strong>1

 te\, it’s time to celebrate. Enjoy a full Heritage Day festival experien

 mportant Info</h2><ul><li>Braai participation is limited to 3\,000 people.
  No additional braai tickets will be released once sold out.</li><li>Only 
 children aged 13 and up may participate in the braai.</li><li>All braai pa
 rticipants must remain at their allocated braai station during the officia
 l Guinness World Records attempt period.</li><li>Participants who leave th
 eir station during the official attempt may not be counted towards the fin
 al record total.</li><li>No under 18s allowed in the beer garden. IDs may 
 be checked at entry.</li><li>Total event capacity is 4\,000 people. Access
  will be controlled at all gates.</li><li>No outside food\, drinks\, alcoh
 ol\, or braai gear allowed.</li><li>Right of Admission Reserved. Security 
 will be present throughout the day.</li><li>No weapons\, illegal substance
 s\, or hazardous materials allowed.</li><li>No pass-outs or re-entry witho
 ut an official wristband.</li><li>Please be aware that by entering and par
 ticipating in this event\, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exp
 osure to potentially infectious diseases\, accidents\, injury\, or loss. Y
