Trance Empyrean started in Febru ary 2019 when founder Auralight aimed to bring the true sound of Trance ba ck to the Mother city. When the 1st episode of the podcast was released\, it topped Mixcloud Trance charts straight away. Since that first episode\, the show has gone on to be aired on multiple stations from around the wor ld including Digitally Imported Trance (USA)\, Trance Energy Belfast (NI)\ , Vibez.live (RSA)\, MuthaFM (RSA)\, VibeFM Dublin (IRE) and Dance Attack (UK). As well as releasing new episodes showcasing the best in new Uplifti ng\, Tech\, Hard and Vocal Trance\, the show has also hosted many guests o n the show from the likes of Darren Porter (UK)\, Stoneface & Terminal (DE U)\, S.H.O.K.K. (CHE)\, Signum (NLD)\, Metta & Glyde (UK)\, Renegade Syste m (NI)\, Dirkie Coetzee (RSA)\, and many other great artists.

Protoculture\, as a DJ and live performer\, previously ranked South Africas number one DJ according to the DJ Mag Top 100\, has played alongside a diverse range of international heavyweights such as Paul van D yk\, Sasha\, Paul Oakenfold\, Armin van Buuren\, Orbital\, Future Sound of London\, Gareth Emery\, Sander van Doorn to name but a few\, as well as h eadlined countess shows around the globe. A staple at Armin van Buuren’s legendary A State of Trance World Tours\, Nate performed alongside the 5 times world number one DJ in Mexico\, South Africa and The Netherlands to sell out crowds with live performances being broadcast around the world li ve to over 20 million people. He has also graced the DJ booths at legendar y club venues such as Ministry of Sound\, UK\, Ushaia and Privelege\, Ibiz a\, Ageha\, Tokyo\, Colosseum\, Jakarta\, as well as Foundation\, Seattle\ , Exchange\, Los Angeles and more in the United States. No stranger to the festival circuit either he has performed at Fuji Rock festival in Japan a nd the Zurich Street Parade as well as other festival brands such as Godsk itchen\, Creamfields\, Urban Wave (Camel Experience)\, Amsterdam Dance Eve nt\, Electronic Family\, H20 Events\, the legendary Tomorrowland and most recently Ultra Music Festival.

Simon Eve at DJ Magazine was quoted as s aying that Pierre is one of the A-Listers in the scene\, having headlined alongside TOP100 DJ’s like Paul van Dyk\, Roger Shah\, Leon Bolier\, Umm et Ozcan and BK. His productions has also been playlisted on BBC Radio 1 ( United Kingdom)\, Kiss FM (Australia)\, Radio 538 (Netherlands)\, 5FM (Sou th Africa) and Radiowave (Namibia) and is supported by music heavyweights such as Armin van Buuren\, Above & Beyond\, Paul van Dyk\, Carl Cox\, Lisa Lashes\, W&W\, Marcus Schulz\, Aly & Fila\, Bob Sinclar\, Dave Pearce\, J udge Jules\, Warp Brothers\, Cosmic Gate and many more.
As a DJ and performer Pierre has played and headlined many events around the world. In 2006 he did his first UK tour where he played for promotions and events l ike Twisted at the Fridge (alongside BK\, Ed Real\, Trevor McLachlan and O lly Perris)\, Tranzaction (with Charlie G and Rob Tisserra)\, Zoology and Addiction (alongside Ben Gold and Spencer Freeland). He has also toured Au stralia\, New Zealand and South Africa\, playing at high profile clubs\, f estivals and events\, the biggest being H2O in Johannesburg\, where Pierre performed to a crowd of 17\,000 people which was aired on MTV Base.
Pierre has also done guest DJ mixes for shows like DJ Tiesto’s Club Lif e\, Paul van Dyk’s “Vonyc Sessions”\, Judge Jules’ “Internationa l Show”\, Sean Tyas’ “Tytanium Sessions” and "Future of Hard Dance " on Ministry of Sound radio.
In the last decade he has firmly plant ed himself as one of the trance elite with releases on Ferry Corsten’s F lashover Recordings\, Paul van Dyk’s VANDIT Records\, Roger Shah’s Mag ic Island and Alex M.O.R.P.H’s Universal Nation and co-producing “Stro nger Together” with Paul van Dyk which reached the #1 Spot on the Beatpo rt Trance chart. He also reached the number 30 spot globally (number 2 in Africa) on the Trancepodium Top 100 DJ’s in 2019.
