Stanford.ETHOS is proud to present: “The Nature of Beauty”.
Come and join us this Woman’s Day for a special afternoon of art, entertainment, food, and drink just for the ladies, during the official opening of the “The Nature of Beauty” art exhibition.
Locations, times, and activities
Manor House at Stanford Valley (12:00):
- A special long table four-course lunch at Manor House prepared by Chef Janine, each course uniquely paired with wines from Strandveld Wineries
- Talk by guest speaker Vita Koester
- Music by jazz artist Candice Thornton
Intethe Art Gallery (16:00):
- “The Nature of Beauty” art exhibition showcasing art by local female artists
- Closing drinks

“The Nature of Beauty” is an exciting art exhibition that will showcase works by local and guest artists using oil paint, watercolours, art glass, prints and photography as mediums, drawing inspiration from nature and their immediate surroundings.

- Supported by existing works from the Intethe art gallery collection.
The exhibition will open to the public on the 10th of August and remain on display until the 30th of August to celebrate Woman’s Month. All art on display will be for sale and 10% of the proceeds will be donated to the Stanford Swop Shop for the distribution of sanitary pads to the local women in need.
Chef Janine has been a chef at Manor House for five years and specialises in South African country cuisine.
Guest speaker Vita Koester is a wildlife photographer, documentary producer and world traveller, who has lived a meandering, interesting life.
Musical artist Candice Thornton is a jazz musician from Cape Town, known for her velvety warm and sultry voice.
