The inaugural Tech & AI Expo 2025 - The Gateway to Africa’s Digital Revolution is a high-level international Expo that will convene some of the most influential minds in technology, investment, and policy from across Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and the Americas. Our goal is to address Africa’s digital transformation and venture capital challenges in a way that resonates on a continental and global scale, while positioning Zanzibar as the newest global hub for tech innovation.
The Expo serves as a strategic platform for global tech giants, leading investors, policymakers, government leaders, academia, corporate executives, and startup founders to explore cutting-edge solutions in AI, fintech, smart infrastructure, business innovation, and policy frameworks that will shape the future of Africa’s digital economy.
A key focus of the Expo is to drive a focus on scaling African startups into unicorns and Africa’s emergence as a key player in the global tech ecosystem.
The Expo shall also feature the African Solutions Hackathon that encourages teams of Tertiary Students, Tech enthusiasts and Startups to code solutions to address Africa's challenges.
With an expected audience of over 1,000 industry leaders, investors, and innovators from
across Africa and the world, this Expo presents a unique opportunity to forge transformative partnerships, gain strategic insights, and contribute to shaping the future of Africa’s digital revolution. Delegates, Exhibitors and Sponsors shall participate in a range of activities curated to showcase innovation on the continent, review case studies of the successful implementation of the digitization of services, hackathons, exhibitions, a Funders Den for investors and startups, a Deal Makers Lounge for business matchmaking, Super Sessions (Keynote address & panel discussions) and Masterclasses with speakers from different industries. The event shall also have a Gala Dinner on the 22nd.
Hosted in Zanzibar, this Expo aligns with Vision Silicon Zanzibar, an initiative aimed at transforming the island into a premier hub for digital innovation, AI, and entrepreneurship. The Zanzibar Ministry of Tourism and Heritage released a statement in recognition of this Expo as a key milestone in the island’s vision of becoming a leading hub for technology and innovation. “This initiative aligns with our vision to position Zanzibar as a leader in innovation while preserving our rich traditions,” stated Minister Mudrik Ramadhani Soraga.
