BB Bonanza - tickets for a cause
Boggle & Brux is a non-profit animal rescue organisation in Cape Town, Western Cape.
We were founded in 2018 by a few passionate individuals who recognised the need for a volunteer organisation to see to the well-being of small rodents that were often ill-treated, unethically bred and even abandoned by their humans.
What started out as an idea to change the perception of pet rats as being filthy drain dwellers to being worthy & deserving companions, has since grown into a much larger project that caters for rats, hamsters, mice, guinea pigs and more.
Not only do we offer rescue, fostering, veterinary health and rehoming services of small pet rodents; we also have a wildlife section that deals with hand-rearing and releasing of wild rats and mice. At times, we even care for the odd bird or tortoise! Above all, we aim to educate and promote awareness of the needs of small pet animals.
Our services are entirely funded by donations, fundraisers, contributions to vet bills and minimal guardianship fees.
WHY THE FUNDRAISER
This year has come with numerous curveballs and challenges. Like many organisations and people our rescue was put under a lot of strain. A huge amount of animals have been surrendered, abandoned or found dumped in horrible conditions. Most were medical cases which resulted in high veterinary bills.
Adoptions have also been much less than usual. As a result we have a lot more animals to feed and take care of. This has a considerable impact on our ongoing care expenses.
To spread the joy! Not only will this fundraiser benefit our animals, it will also give you the chance to win super prizes! There will be lots of different choices so there's bound to be something perfect just for you. Buy as many tickets as you want to increase your chances of winning.
HOW IT WORKS:
- There are separate tickets available for every prize
- Every ticket for a prize gives you one entry into the draw of that prize
- You can buy as many tickets as you want for the prizes you are interested in
- New prizes are revealed on Fridays
- Ticket sales, for the prize of the day, ends at 12:00 daily
- Prize draws will take place live at 13:00 daily on our FB event page.
TICKET PURCHASING PROCESS
Step 1: Visit www.howler.co.za/bbbonanza
Step 2: Click on the ‘Get your raffle tickets’ button
Step 3: Select the raffle tickets that you want to purchase (you may select multiple options)
Step 4: Proceed to checkout and select payment method
Step 5: Your tickets will be send to you via WhatsApp and/or email
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- Daily draw winners are final
- Country wide courier at own cost for eligible prizes
- Prizes that need to be collected will be available at either one of three locations of winner's choice: Kirstenhof or Claremont in the Southern Suburbs or Durbanville in the Northern Suburbs

VOUCHER - Prize voucher will be sent via email

MYSTERY PRIZES EXPLAINED
- There will be several random mystery prizes throughout this event
- These will have a time limit to enter and will be free of charge
- You can enter by answering the quiz question correctly
- These will only be posted on the event page and without warning.
- Every person to answer correctly will be added to a draw for the mystery prize
- A winner will be drawn and announced immediately after the time limit of each individual mystery prize expires
- Make sure to join the event page, check in often and have your notifications on in order not to miss out on these prizes
SPOT PRIZES EXPLAINED
- These prizes will appear on the FB event page at random times
- The prize will be visible unlike the mystery prizes
- They will also have a time limit and are free of charge to enter
- To win a spot prize you must complete the task given
- Some may include a draw if the task can be completed successfully by more than one person. If so the draw will take place immediately after the time limit expires
