The Alaska 5000 Summer Tour is the newest addition to the growing lineup of international
drag performers that DragCon South Africa has introduced to the African continent.
About Alaska 5000:
Hiiiiiiiieeeeeeee! So you know Alaska, don't you? If not, here's the tea. A bizarre cosmic collision
propelled Alaska 5000 to Earth in March 1966... and on to the fifth season of Logo TV’s RuPaul’s
Drag Race in January 2013. Still radioactive, no one knows who or what she is yet, but no one
cares, as long as she never returns to her native planet. Watch this rare, magnificent being as
she lights stages across our country. No, you won’t end up a cancer-stricken lab rat. The boozy
club floor acts as a radiation shield to protect you from this renegade.

VIP with Meet and Greet - R750
Door Tickets - R350
• All are welcome, but it is an LGBTQ event with mostly queer patrons.
• There will be alcohol for sale on the premises, therefore no food or drink allowed.
• No under 18’s
• Doors open at 20:00
• Meet & Greet starts at 21:00
• The show will be an onstage performance with music and dance.
