Cavemen X Media Statement – Caveman X-Trail Run Postponed
Due to the extent of the flooding and wind damage from the weekend the magnificent trails on Oak Valley have been compromised to such a state that they will not be repaired in time for the Caveman X-Trail Run on 7 October 2023. We are supporting the Farm and the Trail Building teams as they repair the multiple bridges and trails in the Elgin Valley in preparation for Wines2Whales later in October.
Once the water levels have subsided we will issue a new date for the Caveman X-Trail Run. In the meantime we would like to point out that landowners and communities in the greater Elgin and Overberg areas have suffered significant losses during the floods. Our thoughts are with them during this difficult time and we encourage our Trail Running and Mountain Biking community to support the community in the coming months by either purchasing a bottle or two bottle or two of wine or via direct donations to community projects.

Oak Valley is not only known for its exquisite wines, but also for its world class trails which are forbidden to Trail Runners and every once in a while the farm closes its trails to mountain bikers and opens them to Trail Runners.
Each race entry comes with a complimentary bottle of Oak Valley Wines.
Saturday 7 October 2023 is one of those days where Conrad “Caveman” Stoltz gets to take you on an epic Trail Run Race along the pristine trails on the Estate with 3 distances to choose from!
- 30 – 35 KM Oak Valley X-Treme
- 15 – 17 KM Beneath the Clouds
- 6 – 8 KM Wonderland
