Friends Like Me is our’ signature musical picnic experience, a celebration of friendship, connection and shared moments 🌿🎶
Designed as a space to slow down in a fast-moving world, the day brings together live bands, generational artists and curated DJ sets in a relaxed, open-air setting. Expect blankets on the grass, full picnic baskets 🧺, good conversations and feel-good music that becomes the soundtrack to laughter and reconnection.
Whether you’re coming with friends or your lover, this is where you sit closer, sing louder and make memories that last ✨

No Under 18's
No firearms
No illegal substances
No liquids allowed into the event but non-cooked snacks and treats are welcome
No camp chairs but picnic blankets are welcome
No gazebos allowed
No bad vibes are permitted in the space
No hubbly gas stoves
All event parking will be available at the venue. It’s safe, secure, and just a short walk away from the picnic, please set Idle Wild Country Estate as your destination when arriving! 🚗
By attending this event, you acknowledge and agree that HomeComing Events, its partners, affiliates, and sponsors have the right to photograph, film, and record you while on the event premises.
These images, videos, and recordings may be used for promotional, marketing, and documentation purposes across various platforms, including but not limited to social media, websites, advertisements, and media publications, without any requirement for prior notification or additional compensation. Your attendance also grants the same rights to our partners and affiliates for their promotional use.
By entering the event, you release HomeComing Events, its partners, and affiliates from any claims or liability arising from the use of such materials. Your presence at the event serves as acknowledgment and agreement to these terms
After 7PM, there will be no re-entry into the venue. If you leave the event after this time, you won’t be allowed back in, so make sure you’ve got all your picnic essentials, blanket and your friends by your side before then!
Doors will close at 8PM and NO ENTRY will be allowed into the venue at all.
No gas stoves allowed.
Hubbly corkage R150 upon entry.
By purchasing a ticket to and/or attending any Homecoming Events (including but not limited to Tshwanefontein, Friends Like Me, Sun City Takeover and Hatfield Freshers), you acknowledge that attendance is at your own risk.
Homecoming Events, its directors, employees, partners and affiliates shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, damage, illness, theft or death arising from attendance at the event.
Attendees are responsible for their own safety, belongings and conduct, and must comply with all event rules, venue regulations and staff instructions.
By attending, you consent to photography and videography for promotional use.
Homecoming Events reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any individual acting in a disruptive, unsafe or unlawful manner
