Finding My Voice is a theatre production that explores experiences around Gender Based Violence, family ridicule and expectations, the dynamics of raising a girl child as compared to raising a boy, and the rise from silence to having a voice.
Through a series of intimate monologues, Finding My Voice gives voice to stories that are often whispered, hidden, or never spoken at all - from the home, the workplace, schools, churches, and within communities.
Finding My Voice is about finally stepping out of pain and painting yourself with beautiful words, actions of love, no matter what anyone else says. It's about facing the trauma and saying I know I'm not alone, and every voice deserves to be heard.
