Kumodi is the alias of Cape-Town-born drummer, Kurt Diedericks. He began his career stage-performing with Goema-composer Mac McKenzie at age 15 and has played with some of South Africa’s biggest artists and exports like Sannie Fox, Freshly Ground, PHFAT, and Nonku Phiri. Choral and jazz harmonies and psychedelics influence his broad-ranging musical explorations as a session musician, composer, and most recently, electronic producer and DJ. Paying particular attention to rhythm and harmony, he plays soulful and sometimes challenging electronic-textured soundscapes.

DJ Paddy: From the boxing ring to the DJ booth, DJ Paddy will play some soulful and groovy selections following the live performance.
